Susan spike,

Every time you mention something about San Jose it is negative. If that isn't bashing I don't know what is. There is no major city that can be all that bad especially when about 1 million people live there. Your comments are dripping with bias. Apparently tourism in San Francisco is so low that you representatives from the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce have to stoop down to the point of bashing other cities to try and lure tourists to depressed city.

By the way Susan Spike, I have many friends also who work in San Jose and are happily employed. The unemployment rate in San Jose as in every major city is on the rise. but as you know Silicon Valley's ecnomy is cyclical. It will go up. Also, your trying to lure Carl from going to San Jose is moot with this argument. He already has a job. So stop trying to mislead people!

Sorry, dg, I don't recall going to Quicksilver, but there are so many parks there that I may be wrong. In any case I can't help you with that one. Almaden has been built up so much since we were there. The hills which were once just lovely hills are now covered with McMansions-how sad. I liked the fact that it was not far from the Peninsula and not a bad drive to SF. Many's the trip we took in both directions when our visitors from Boston came out!

Dave,

You must work for the police department in San Jose, Costa Rica. I have a cousin that works for the SJPD. Anybody will tell you that San Jose is one of the safest big cities in the nation. Of course every major city does have a few areas to avoid.

Carl,

You should know this is no freaking RELO FORUM. You're an idiot. You'll fit right in in California.

Truth be known, crime is up by %5.4 in San Jose.

source: California Attorney General Bill Lockyer

ref: http://sanjose.bizjournals.com/sanjo...8/daily38.html
