reliable transportation across florida
 

My parents are elderly and I need to provide them reliable roundtrip transportation from Fort Myers to West Palm Beach in early January 2011. They do drive but I'd prefer someone else drive them across the state, does anyone have any suggestions? Bus or car companies, trains?....any other way?

Train - across FL - surely you jest. Is this RT tranport in one or two days for an event - or wil they be in West Palm for some length of time?

They'll be there for a week.

Do they have a car? Hire a college student? What are the needs to get them there? Can't you do it?

Can they fly? I believe Airtran flies between Fort Myers and West Palm.

It will be pricey but we hired a town car service to make that drive when a co-worker was ill and could not drive.

I would not hire ANYBODY whose reliability might be questionable or who didn't have some sort of liability insurance in case something goes wrong. I would certainly want to know if the insurance covering the auto used would cover any accidents when a third party was driving.

Your best bet for air is probably Silver Airways which flies between Fort Myers and West Palm via Orlando.
