Rehersal dinner venues in St. Pete Beach, FL?

We're getting married at the end of January in St. Pete Beach, and are looking for advice as to which restaurant we should book for our rehearsal dinner on 1.21.12. We need space for approx 50 people (wedding party + significant others, immediate family and out of town family). I've looked around but none of the places seem that great to me. If we really need to, we could go downtown but that is quite a drive for that many people so we'd really prefer to keep it on the island. We don't need anything super high end, but just classy, intimate and enjoyable. If anyone has suggestions it would help us out SO much if you could share since we live on the east coast of FL and have no idea of what to do! Thanks!

You might try Spinners at the Grand Plaza hotel. They have a restaurant on the top floor that rotates 360 degrees for a complete view of the beach. However, I'm not sure if they can accomodate a private party of that size. Or you can try The Hurricane which is just down the beach on Pass-A-Grille. There is also Silas Steakhouse on St Pete Beach.

7sConnolly - we're actually getting married at the Grand Plaza and that was the first place I even thought about holding the rehearsal dinner but they said since its a Saturday night and we have so many people they'd basically have to shut down the restaurant just for our group and that wasn't possible. I'm still waiting to hear back from The Hurricane and I hadn't heard of Silas so I will check that out. Thank you!!

You might also try Middle Grounds on Treasure Island. They have good food and it's only about 10 minutes up the beach.
