Regarding Beds and Sleeping.....

do you prefer sleeping alone? Like will you choose two doubles rather than a king.... Or do you feel cozier with someone sleeping with you?

FainaAgain May 6th, 2004 01:33 PM

And what the next question will be? What position you prefer?

seniormsuedu May 6th, 2004 01:43 PM

or does anyone care???

You're right, guys!!! In retrospect this does sound like a dumb question!!! But now that I've posted it, let me explain where it came from. It sprang from a friend's situation........ whereby she's backed out of a family vacation planned at the shore because there's going to be many family members, all the beds are doubles or queens, and she would have to share a bed with someone else......... She absolutely refuses to sleep in a bed with another person.

That's where it came from......... b( guess it does seems silly! Oh, what the hey, we have those days!!!!!

Cut and paste it to "unusual criteria of choosing a hotel" thread LOL

Ok - I see the context of the question.

For me, it would depend on who I was sleeping with. If it was my husband - no problem, I sleep with him every night. My mom - no problem, we've shared a bed many times. My best friend - no problem, we've shared beds on plenty of trips. Anybody else - hmmmm, I would have to think about it.

I have been sleeping beside the Yankee for so many years, I doubt I would sleep well alone.
But I cannot imagine sharing with someone other than my husband..

My friend is single, in her 30's, and I guess the matriarch of the family assigns bedrooms (she's footing the bill!) in one of these huge beach rentals, and she puts "unattached cousins" in rooms together, and my friend doesn't know her cousins too well! Guess it depends on how much you'd like an all-expenses paid trip to the beach, huh? Assuming the cousin was clean and didn't snore too badly, I guess it would be okay with me.....:-)

Oh boy, a slumber party!

I love sharing a bed with my husband, and don't sleep well when he's away on business.

I've shared a bed with my best friend, and talking before we fell asleep reminded me of being a teenager.

My cousin is one of my favorite people, so that would be OK, too.

She should buy, borrow, one of those Aeor beds and bring it with her

Hi Bonnie,

I travel like this a lot. I travel to play in racquetball tournaments, and I share rooms and beds with people all of the time (platonically). Doesn't matter if it's women or men, we double and quadruple up to save money.

I have a wonderful circle of friends I feel comfortable with - and I don't mind sharing space with them.

When you travel 2 weekends a month - hotel costs can really add up!

At home, I generally sleep alone during the week, but my boyfriend spends the weekends.

If she feels uncomfortable in a bed, tell her to bring a sleeping bag. This way she's in the room that's been assigned, but she doesn't have to share the bed.
