Redondo Beach area dinner with a view

Please recommend restaurants in or near Redondo Beach that have both a good view and good food.
Three places that came up in my initial research are The Admiral Risty, Kinkaid's, and Bluewater Grille.
Thanks.

Kincaid's and Bluewater Grille are both great choices, the latter specializing in seafood. The Chart House is another possibility. Tony's on the Pier is an old-style fish house with decent food and great views.

I would skip the Admiral Risty. If you want to see the Palos Verdes Peninsula, I would recommend dining at one of the restaurants at the Trump Nat'l Golf Course at sunset.

Thanks.

Do any of those places have outdoor seating with heat lamps.

I'd skip Admiral Risty too, but my sister and husband love the place and go there monthly at least!

A new place that just reopened, is at the remodeled Portifino Inn, in front of the Crown Plaza, called Baleen. We went to the grand opening. It over
looks the Marina and offers B, L, D and does have some outside tables.
Cheesecake Factory does too, but it's a chain.

Old Tony's is one of our favorites.

Hi MBNancy,
We got a gift card for the Admiral Risty for Xmas, and went a few weeks ago. The food is okay. I just don't like how they jam all of those tables so close together. It's so loud and crowded. In the winter, when the sun is setting early, you can't even see the ocean at dinnertime.

mscarls, I know for a fact that Kincaid's has heat lamps and outdoor seating. I don't think Bluewater Grille does.

I also forgot to mention Samba, a Brazilian Churascaria in King Harbor which is very good, also. I don't think they have outside seating, though.

Thanks for the warnings about the Admiral Risty. It had a high score in Zagat, a good review on Gayot, and an interesting menu on its web site. This is why this site always has to be part of my research.

Kincaids is one of the restaurants I miss most after moving from LA back to the Midwest. Great view and loved the food and pounding surf sound during dinner. Highly recommend.
