Red Sox tickets?

My son really wants to see a Red Sox game at Fenway Park ( Aug 5, 6 or 7) while we're on the east coast. What's the best resource for Red Sox tickets?

Try the team site first (www.redsox.com). If they don't have any, try Ace Tickets or Stubhub. Aug 5 is against the Yankees so its sold out and tickets will be at a premium. The other 2 games are against the Indians so may not be as expensive but may be sold out.

Good luck.

tchoiniere has the right idea. You will have better luck with the Indians than the Yankees. Unfortunately weekend tickets also tend to be sold out, and command a premium from the scalpers as well. Ace ticket and stubhub are both reliable sources for genuine tickets.

Also, before you buy, use this site: http://www.preciseseating.com/
To see the view from your prospective seats. The best way to make sure your tickets don't have an obstruction. DO NOT trust the Red Sox site..they remove the posts from the sightlines in their "view from your seat" feature.

We have used Ace Tickets for all sorts of sporting events and found them to be reliable and honest. You can check out tickets available on line, but if you call there has always been someone knowledgeable there to talk to you about specific tickets. They have a storefront a block from Fenway, so you can order tickets in advance and pick them up there.

Avoid Grandstand sections 2,3 and 4 in particular - the seats face at a weird angle making viewing game uncomfortable - bleachers are better than these.

The best thing you should do is to compare all tickets in some free comparison search engine , then you'll be redirect to the best broker.

Here's one

http://www.ticketwood.com

Try also http://www.ticketsreview.com

it's like the others but the conveniance fee is pretty low.

If you go to stubhub.com as time gets closer to the date, you will find the tickets that people want to resell. They are a legal reseller and will have a little map of the park so you can see where you are buying and how good the view of the field is and the tickets will print out on line. I got 4 for my kids last Sept. for $ 16 each in the outfield, when they were at the concession someone gave them their box seats behind first base for the last few innings. Mid week games seem to have the best in availability and more become available as you get closer to the date. Of course if they are playing the Yankees there won't be much.
