Red Roof Inns - Framingham MA or in general
Has anyone ever stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Framingham Ma? I need a moderate place in this area for one night. Can anyone comment on Red Roof Inns in general? Thanks

Don't know this hotel - but I checked location since there are a few seedy areas in Framingham. This is right of Mass Turnpike - so if you just need a place to sleep, location is fine. Hope someone else has infor on the hotel.

Most, if not all, Red Roof Inns are company owned, by Accor, one of Europes biggest hotel chains. Many of them have be renovated in the past few years. I've found "the Roof" to be clean and comfortable, and reasonably prices. You'll find no amenities like shampoo, hairdryers, showercaps, nor continental breakfast, but you should find a decent night's sleep. I'll take a "Roof" over any other mid-ranged chain hotel anyday

The area off the Mass Pike is not far from shopping malls. (Most are down the road.) I think there's a Dunkin Donuts next door. It's an older motel, but I've never been in it so I can't tell about the accommodations. Did you check the AAA rating?
There is a "Naked Fish" restaurant in walking distance -- also a Home Depot. Across from Home Depot (just around the corner from the Red Roof) is a new Marriott which looks nicer. Don't know the prices of either hotel though. Not that this will happen to you, but sometime last year someone stayed at the Red Roof and parked in their lot overnight. The U-Haul she was using to move was stolen along with ALL her belongings. Don't recall if it was found. |
Red Roof Inns are about as consistant as can be. There are no extras here, but the price can't be beat. For a one night stay I have no problem with them. For longer stays or staying with family they have pretty small rooms.
