Red Roof Inn???

Anyone stayed here?

6 West 32nd Street???

What is it close to, is it a safe clean area???

This is our first trip to NY for my DD's 16th birthday and mine and DH 21st wedding anniversary.

Thank you

It's not a horrible area at all, and pretty convenient; not pretty or picturesque, but perfectly safe and convenient. No great resaturants close by, but it's right by Madison Square Garden and the subway, so it's easy to get around. I've heard rairly good reports about the hotel itself.

You're also about 3 blocks from Macy's and all the stores on 34th Street, not to mention around the corner from the Empire State Building and alot of drug stores on 5th Ave.

yes - I have stayed there twice.
And easy to go to & fro.

As the editor says it not picturesque but is clean & more importantly, you can allot more of your hard-earned
dollars celebrating the b'day &
(congrats BTW) anniversary.

Not where I'd want to be to celebrate an occasion. Look at the Affinia Dumont.

The area is perfectly safe - but a business district and quite dreary at night. Agree to look for other options in a more pleasant location.

How many rooms are you looking for - or a suite perhaps? And what is your budget/dates?

That will allow people to give you some specific options.

Stayed there a few years ago. At the time the Hotel was pretty new,(refurbed) and the price was very good as well.

Your in the area called "Little Korea"! One of my favorite PIZZA/HERO joints is on 32nd an Madison, Bella Napoli

Thank you all. We are looking at August a Saturday to Monday type thing. If it is a business area will the streets be vacant at night? I would be worried about coming back late at night is there isn't alot of people around.

I come from a very small town so a little worried going somewhere I don't know everyone :)

No, it is not vacant at night -
it is right up the street from
Penn Station/Madison sq garden
and in an area known as "little
Korea" for the restaurants.

I - as a woman - stayed there
w/nary a problem.
