RED ROCKS

Planning on going to Red Rocks in Denver to see a concert this month. What is a good hotel that is nearby?

How close to Red Rocks do you want to stay? Are you going to have a car? Do you want to spend a lot or a little on your room? If you have a car, Denver is not a far ride away. Red Rocks is great for concerts!

Well-we are already going to stay several days in downtown Denver and thought it would be nice to stay somewhere close to Red Rocks for after the concert. We do have a car. Probably won't spend alot of time at motel/hotel but would like to stay somewhere nice.

Thanks for all your help in planning our trip! We have never been to Red Rocks but sounds great. Going to see Chris Issaks.

When you say nice, to you mean fancy, or just a clean place to sleep?
If you drive three or four (?) freeway exits south from Red Rocks you will find Ken Caryl Avenue. Take that exit and turn left. There is a brand new Holiday Inn Express on the corner. On that same freeway exit, if you take a right, you will go to Ken Caryl Valley which has some more interesting red rock formations. (Think of it as directly due south from Red Rocks the ampitheatre). There are some terrific easy hiking trails there.
Ken Caryl Valley also has a nice old home that is a relaxing place for drinks or dinner - it's called the Manor House. (All addresses Littleton)

Hi Brenda, Red Rocks is a wonderful place to see a concert. A couple of things, bring a blanket or some kind of cushion to sit on. The "seats" are just long hard wooden benches. Also it can get cool at night, and perhaps, hopefully a bit of rain so if you have lighwieght rain gear its a good idea to bring that as well. Actually lw rain gear is a good idea for anywhere in Colorado.

to your question you might look at http://www.cliffhouselodge.com/
in Morrison.

Thanks for the advice. Never thought about the rain gear and cushions and blankets. Also thanks for hotel advice.
