Does anyone have an opinion on the Red Mountain Spa in St. George, Utah? Considering a stay there in August.

Hello! I'm jumping in here with the <BR>exact same question! My husband and I <BR>are planning to visit the spa in August <BR>as well and I'd REALLY appreciate hearing from anyone out there who has <BR>been there before. I have no idea how <BR>this place will be, we'll be locked in <BR>for seven night package so I'm a bit <BR>worried. HELP!! Thanks to any who can <BR>respond to this.

Haven't been to the spa myself - but I have lived in Utah my whole life and go to the St. George area twice a year. I have heard the spa is amazing and the kind of caliber you would expect the stars to go to. As for the St. George area, the pictures don't do it justice, that area of Utah is the prettiest I have ever seen in the south west, and I have been all over. The scenery is amazing. August will be very hot but you can always hike the narrows in Zions

I'm planning a trip to red mountain this August and would love to see what people thought of it.

I'm in....I'd love to go for my 45th birthday this summer. If I could talk a girlfriend into meeting me there, it would be perfect. I've never done more than a day spa, so this would truly be a gift worth remembering. Anyone with info., please post. J.

For the money, Red Mtn. is a great spa. The setting is beautiful, and the hiking is excellent. If hiking is not your thing, you might not enjoy this as much as some other fitness spas, because there is not as wide a range of fitness classes as at some other (priceier) places. Also, right now there is no real &quot;spa,&quot; that is, no shower/locker room, no indoor hot tub, steam, or sauna. I had wonderful massages there, but you arrive (and leave) in your street clothes (unless you are the type who likes to walk over from your room in your robe). The food is good, and there is even a wine list! If you have a car, you should drive out to Kayenta (a development in Ivins) at least once to visit the coffee house, Xetava Gardens.

All in all, excellent value.

We had lunch at Red Mountain and everyone was very friendly and the grounds were very peaceful. We were staying at the Green Valley Spa, where they were NOT friendly or helpful...of the two, Red Mountain is the way to go.

My 26 yr. old son spent a few days at Red Mountain Spa in October. He loved it. He said the food was wonderful. He did a bit of hiking, enjoyed a massage every day, and just relaxed by the pool.

I've been to Red Mountain Spa nad loved it! The wine list is new though...we had to bring our own at the time. The hiking was great...they had 4 different levels of difficulty so you could match to your ability. They also had the same set up for mountain biking, but I stuck with the hiking everyday. I went with a bunch of girlfriends from around the country and it was a perfect getaway!

Went with three friends November 2001. What a great place? We are from Vermont and thought nothing could compare to our piece of heaven. When we got there it was beautiful. The service, hiking, classes and spa treatments are great. Also did a day trip that they arranged for us to Bryce Canyon. Everyone was very friendly and could not do enough for you. This may sound silly, but we all loved the beds so comfortable. We are planning our next trip out.

topping...any new info on this place? We're looking for a good spa resort for a 3 day girl's get-away.

This is a good one. My wife had a great time here. Stay at Inn of Five Graces and dine at Coyote Cafe, Santa Cafe et al. Drive up to Taos on the low road and return on the high road. Visit Los Alamos.

Walk down Canyon Rd. and visit all the art galleries there as well as around the town square too. Have a nice trip I will post a few more shortly.

We also had a great time in Scottsdale, AZ........We stayed two nights at The Boulders, two nights at The Enchantment Resort and three nights at The Phoenician. I think she liked The Phoenician the best. I loved The Boulders and Enchantment the most. We drove from The Enchantment Resort near Sedona to Grand Canyon and took a helicopter tour for a one day trip. We ended up back in Scottsdale at The Phoenician and flew back home after our visit there.

I would go back to Southern California in a heart beat. My wife and I were at The Ritz Carlton at Laguna Beach a few years ago. Montage is the new place there that's hot today.

We are going to San Diego in October and staying at The Hotel Del Coronado. They have a new spa there.
