Recommended Route Cape Cod to near Dayton, OH?
 

Which is the better driving route for us to take from Cape Cod to near Dayton, OH? I-90, I-80, I-70 or another? Leaving soon & looking for a fast trip. Thanks.

Well, that was interesting to take a look at google maps. All 3 are the same distance and the same times. I doubt you would find another faster than those 3. It would look like 90 would bypass more metropolitan areas and therefore have a lesser chance of traffic jams.

Used to go from Boston to Dayton area regularly.

90 (Mass Pike) to
84 through Hartford and Danbury
down 81 through Wilkes Barre
to 80 into Youngstown
to 76 through Akron
down 71 to Columbus and 270 around it
70 to Dayton area

It looks as if I90 has lots & lots of construction - has anyone been that way lately that can reply on that?

That's why you should get off at I-84.

I couldn't beat SambaChula's route.

Actually, I will add that you should take I-495 from the Bourne Bridge off Cape Cod all the way to I-90, bypassing all of Boston and most of its suburbs.
