Somewhere within reasonable driving distance of NYC.

Outdoor activities, spa, good food.

Any ideas?

I looked at Canyon Ranch but it looks a bit too pricey. Any resort or great inn recommendations?

You'll probably find The Lodge at Woodloch too pricey as well...didn't see your comment about Canyon Ranch until after I had posted. Sorry!

Hmm, yes Canyon Ranch def. pricey; check out Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge-- near the mtns, good restaurants, Norman Rockwell museum, there are many B&B's up there, Tanglewood concerts, surely smaller spas in the towns as well.
