recommendation for lunch near theater district

I will be taking my 13 yr old daughter and a friend to see Beauty & the Beast on a Saturday in late March. I'd like to bring the girls to lunch, but have no idea where to go. Also hoping the play won't be too young for them......thanks for any input!

A really fun, non-touristy and great place for that age group is Vynl Diner - a little walk over to 9th avenue and 52nd or 53rd (I forget), but inexpensive, great vibe and yummy food and the girls will just love it.

If you are looking for inexpensive, I
can recommend www.nycrg.com
comprised of 12 restaurants, some
of whom may be booked (gratis)
at www.opentable.com.
Among them, a favorite on this Board
is Roberto Passon for their $15
set lunch

www.havanacentral.com

Good, accessible Cuban cuisine in a fun, Hemingway-esque atmosphere.

Or, if they like to play the latest, greatest video games, ESPNZone.

The Broadway show of Beauty and the Beast has more songs than the movie and many features that would appeal to adults as well as young teens. I was skeptical whene dragged there by family members and was quite surprised by the impressive scenery, costumes, special effects, and energetic performances.

What about Ellen's Stardust Diner (Broadway/51st)? It has singing waitstaff. Every time I walk by, it is PACKED solid. PACKED!
