Recommendation for Boston bars near Sheraton Back Bay
Hello...one more question before we leave on Thursday. Any suggestions for bars within walking distance of our hotel where we could have a drink after dinner? Any places close by with live music? Some of the ladies we are traveling with will want to retire earlier than the rest of us and I would like to know some place that we could go that would not involve a taxi or the subway. We are in our 30's - 40's. As always, thanks for your help! Lori

No places with live music really nearby.
I's recommend the following: City Bar at the Lenox Hotel Stephanie's on Newbury Sonsie Eastern Standard Dillon's But really, you're within walking distance to literally hundreds of places. |
if things haven't changed, there was usually a jazz combo at the Oak Bar in the Fairmont Copley Plaza. I've always liked that place as a stop for a drink.

Thanks...Hey, Wyatt92...I think you were the one who gave me the great information about the fireworks spot on Storrow Drive last year. Had so much fun I am going back for a girls week-end. I will definitely check out these bars. I'll need to escape my mother-in-law, aunt and assorted sister-in-laws at some point during this visit!! Lori

A fun place is Cactus Club on Huntington, which is a short walk from your hotel and nearby is Whiskey Park. Sonsie is great--much more see and be seen.

You're welcome! Post back if you need more suggestions.

Cactus club has good drinks, but is so loud you can only sit and look at the people you are there with. I like Flash's - across from the castle. Not too loud, good drinks, good appetizers and with big open windows during good weather. Not touristy either.

Hi, Hlsam ....Where is the castle?

In the South End about a 15 minute walk is Bob's Southern Cuisine, music starts around 7 and Beehive abouta 20 miunte walk, music starts around 10.
