Recommend excellent resorts by beach (any city)

Looking to travel in July for 8 - 9 days.

There will be 3 of us - me, husband, and a 3 month old baby.

Would like to stay in a nice resort, ocean front or at least ocean views with a large pool.

Need activities close to resort whether a board walk, shopping centers, stores etc. Great restaurants locally a plus also.

Wouldn't mind making 2 stops in Fl. if recommended and splitting time. I do have family in Sarasota area.

Open to ideas - if recommending a particular resort please share name or link.

Years ago we stayed at the Bilmar Beach resort at Treasure Island... its a short drive to Sarasota, but the beaches are beautiful, lots to do, and a great area for families...

What is your price range? The Ritz Carlton in Naples on the West coast is really nice and in July, it should be off season.

It will be HOTTER than anything in July; the humidity is stifling; and it is also hurricane season- with heavy downpours and lightning storms in the afternoons- some folks don't mind it; but I did!

Agree that July is hot/rainy as June begins the Rainy season...but because its the slow season you may get awesome deals.

Look into the Marriott Marco Island Resort...i think it has everything you're looking for.

I would also recommend the Mariott Marco Island. We love Marco-the beach is beautiful and you will find great shells. There are restaurants within walking distance and there are many others in driving distance.
