Recommend Best in US please

I just came back from Europe and decided to travel within US from now on.
I am in Philadelphia and looking for suggestions on places near and far that once took your breath away.

I love comfort, no backpacking, please.
Blue clear water and sightseeing type vacation would be what I am all about.
Also dreaming of Grand Canyon and Gaylord Resort in Nashville (been to one in FL - awesome).

Thanks

A nice place nearby would be Cape May, New Jersey. A coastal resort town resplendent in Victorian architecture.

Of course, for whether and things to do, choosing a nice spot in the Gaslamp District of San Diego would do it for me.

Sounds like you need a cruise. How about Alaska this summer?

We love to travel and enjoy many places, but the trips that I have repeated or want to repeat are mostly out west. Off the top of my head:

Yellowstone/Grand Tetons

Grand Circle, especially southern Utah

California Coast from San Diego to San Francisco (including Marin County and Yosemite)

Rocky Mountains, from Colorado all the north to the Canadian Rockies (Banff to Jasper)

Alaska cruise plus land tour to Denali

Hawaii - all four major islands

I get excited just typing this list!

I'm going to repeat some of what HappyLC said.

Yellowstone and Grand Tetons

National Parks & National Monuments of Uath

Grand Canyon (the first national park I ever went to & I still remember the thrill of seeing it for the first time!)

These are my favorite...take my breath away places in the US.

I don't know if you want to go to Canada or not, but Banff and Jasper are my favorite mountain destinations.
