Recommend a restaurant for 10 in Sonoma-anniversary dinner?
 

Need a recommendation for exactly a week today...done a lot of research....would like to hear your preferences...casual, but nice, good food, nice ambience...$20-40pp

Not sure if they could take a party of 10, but The Girl & The Fig is a consistently excellent choice. If you like rustic
Italian food, consider the Depot Hotel Restaurant. Also have tried Carneros Restaurant, but would take the others first.

Are you thinking of the town of Sonoma? August is usually a hot month; so far this year it has been warm but not hot. What type of restaurant are you seeking? One very pleasant place is Della Santina in Sonoma. It is very "wine country casual" with its lovely outdoor courtyard dining. (Does your group include some children? This is a nice place but moderately priced and you will feel comfortable with children there. At the same time, it has a great feel). Girl and the Fig is excellent and has a nice courtyard also; it is pricier.

I have much more familiarity with Napa restaurants (about 15 min. from Sonoma), so if you are interested in that area please post back.

Have you made a decision yet? We love girl and the fig, another consideration would be The El Dorado Kitchen right across the street. It is housed at the El Dorado Hotel right on the Plaza. Enjoy! ***kim*** ((#))
