Recomendations!
Hi,
I am planning a trip to Florida and want to try somewhere new. We stayed in Siesta Key last time and want to find somewhere that is similar. Small, nice beach and a small 'downtown' with bars/restaurants. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks Graham |
"Recomendations!...Anyone got any suggestions?"
Yes, mine is that you'll have better luck if you repost with a thread title that gives people a clue what you're looking for. |
Now beachbum, be gentle.
My recommendation is: to read the forum for a while, check out the faq's, do a search on your subject. After all that if you have a question or want input from the nice folks....post something that is understandable....Thanks. |

I think your post is understandable. You want someplace similar to Siesta Key. Personally, we love the Sarasota area for the beaches and water. Maybe just move up to Lido or Longboat Key. Casey Key is also nice. |
placau2, beachbum gentle! You are dreaming, this poster is one of the harshest, rudest posters on this site, IMO. baggy, your title was fine. Good Luck! ***kim*** ((l)))

It's hard to beat Siesta Key. What a great spot.
I recently stayed at Lido Key, which is within walking distance to St. Armands Circle. We stayed at the Radisson. There's a terrific little beach called Passe-A-Grille on the southern end of St. Pete. It has a small little town and there are some other restaurants to walk to. I like Treasure Island with its 1950s doowop architecture. At the southern end of TI is a little town called Sunset Beach. It has some restaurants and bars within walking distance. |
