Reasonable Hotels in South Beach?

Can anyone recommend any hotels in South Beach (under $250 a night) that is close to the water and nightlife?

I like the Greenview. A couple of blocks to the beach. Not luxury living, but they had the basics right: nice, clean rooms (and bathrooms), comfortable beds, computer (yeah, just one), warm lobby and accomodating front desk. Had it at $150 a night from a travel site.

Look at the Park Central.

We enjoy Hotel Impala which is only one block from the beach and centrally located to the popular bars and nightlife.

What are your dates? Room prices in South Beach can fluctuate greatly during season and special events.

The same room in off season can go for $125 that is $400 during peak.

GoTravel is right; it varies from low to high season. That $150 Greenview rate was for March, considered part of peak season. It is also close to Lincoln Road Mall.

Try the Sagamore. I got the room for 275 a night in June. Stayed there last year and I had to go back. Has great pool, beach and night life.
