What is the cheapest way from one airport to the other?

From National Airport take the blue line metro (right at the airport)to the Rosslyn metro stop. From there transfer to the 5A bus which will go to IAD. Time wise this will take btwn 1 - 1.5 hours. Depending upon whether u go during rush hour or non rush hours fare will range betweem $4.05 and $4.50. U can look at the Metro/Bus site to see times and exact fares. http://www.wmata.com/index.cfm

You asked for the cheapest way to travel -- that certainly won't be a taxi, which is a very expensive way to get to Dulles (from downtown DC to Dulles is $60-70 by cab)

Check Super shuttle. They are at both airports and that might be less than a taxi.
