I'M READY TO LEAVE MY JOB AS A PARALEGAL IN D.C. AND MOVE WEST TO TRY SOMETHING NEW... WORK ON A DUDE RANCH OR TEACH ENGLISH TO INDIANS OR COOK FOR HIKERS... I'M HIP ON TRAVEL, GREAT COOK, GOOD FISHERWOMAN... MAYBE IT'S JUST A 40YR MIDLIFE CHANGE? HELP! I WANT OUT OF D.C.!

I heard they discovered GOLD at Sutter's Mill near San Francisco in California !!!

I'll take your request seriously because I used to think about it all the time...The jobs you fantasize about at dude ranches, etc. are very part time..how about checking out wine country as there is pretty steady turnover there for cooking jobs, etc. fluent spanish would be cool I'd start looking at sites for ecotourism as well, maybe as a cook on one of these hiking, birdwatching, fishing excusrions designed for well-heeled boomers.

VEGAS.plenty of jobs that pay well .too much to do when you have time off.anything seems to go and if you are smart and open minded i am sure you would be successfull and have a real blast.good luck
