re: waikiki trolley
hi,
have anyone taken waikiki trolley before? they have a 4-day pass buy one get one free special before end of july. i'd like to know whether we can board the trolly at any time or we have to goto certain stops at certain time to catch the trolley? if we exit at one stop, how long do we need to wait for next trolley to come? we will be staying at hiloton hawaiian village hotel, i'm wondering do they have stop at this hotel? thanks a lot. |
I've read in Oahu Revealed that the Trolley was an overpriced rip-off. 2-4-1 may change that, I dunno.
They recommend The Bus and I copied/pasted the link to their routes from a Frommer's website: http://www.frommers.co m/images/destinations/maps/jpg/9_thebus. jpg Belle. |
It's typically 45 minutes from the time one trolley drops you off, and the next one comes along -- but they'll be dropping you in places where you'll want much, much more than 45 minutes to stroll, shop, dine, etc.
Here's their website, which will answer all your questions (I hope): http://www.waikikitrolley.com/ It's a fun way to tour the area, take in the sights & sounds and enjoy the open-air transportation. 2-for-1 is a deal, too! |
thanks so much for your information and website link,i'll look into it.

We rode the trolley on a visit a couple years ago and had a great time!

The trolley looks fun but I could never figure out where I was supposed to catch it, schedules, in 2 visits. So do check the website ahead of time.
I ended up using The Bus which got me all over Honolulu pretty easily and quickly. I just paid for individual rides $2 although I know passes are offered. www.thebus.org |
