rare trip to NYC
I will be going to NYC for probably my one and only time on Nov. 4-9th. Is there anything "special" going on that week that I need to take advantage of? Thanks!

I just got back from New York City with my familiy and one highlight for us was dining at Windows on the World on top of the World Trade Center. The view is absolutely spectacular and the food superb (but very expensive). If you chose not to dine there, you may opt to go to the observation deck to see the city all lit up! I don't know of anything "special" going on when you will be there but try to see a show if you can. We weren't able to get one in, but friends saw Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk and loved it. Have fun!!

Upon arriving, pick up a New York magazine
and check the Cue section in the back. It's a weekly guide to entertainment and the arts in NY. Some of the bigger book stores also carry the magazine although I don't know how far in advance they get the current issue. Cue has a lot of info and I've used it on several trips taking several of the (walking) Tours listed. |
In addition to New York Magazine try Time Out New York- they have good listings and even subway directions to events.

Just get into town, and learn what is what.
Swing into the EAst Village for action, groove in Tribecca for people watching and then saunter over to SoHo for you know what... forget what's on the calendar. Just roll with out punches man! |
