What's with some of Ramada's hotels now being known as Pinnacle?

Cool! That must make us more "up-scale" -
so we're probably staying in a much more classy place than it looks and that explains the price..........hmmmmm

Different hotel brands have different levels of a particular brand.

Example JW Marriotts are much nicer than Marriotts and Park Hyatt vs. Hyatt.

On a lower scale you have Sheraton versus a Four Points and Holiday Inn Sunspree verses a Holiday Inn.

I would think that is the difference with Ramada and Pinnacle.
