Rainy Day - Tampa/Clearwater Beach
 

We will soon be making a trip to spring training. If we run into bad weather, can you recommend some must-sees in the area? Thank you!

I love the Aquarium, it was one of the best, lot's of great fish.

I loved the Dali museum in St. Petersburg, but not everyone would agree.

The Dali Museum in St. Pete is a great place. You might also consider the Holocaust Museum or the International Museum both in downtown St. Petersburg.

The aquarium, on the Tampa waterfront, is very charming in a low-key way. Nothing flashy like dolphins but there are tame birds (roseate spoonbills! close enough to get you wet when they shake their heads!) and a huge coral reef (fake, but they are also growing a small real one) and critters of all sorts in nicely maintained habitat settings. I would recommend going fairly late in the afternoon to avoid school bus trips.
