Rain in Key West
 

We are going to Key West tomorrow and just checked the weather at weather.com. It says thundershowers every day we are there. Does Key West typically get quick showers or does thundershowers mean rain all day and night. So much for the convertible we rented!

Never all day but usually a good 1/2 in the afternoon.

Donna - Once you get to Key West the car is pretty useless anyway... there is limited street parking, so leave the car at your hotel... rainy days in KW are made for bar hopping... dodge the drops, find a band and have a drink!

Don't fret! I'm in Naples, just 90 miles due north of Key West and we had a deluge yesterday that lasted about a half hour. They said "possibility" of thundershowers today, but it is nearly 5 PM and the sun hasn't stopped shining all day. It would be very unusual to get a whole day or even a half day of rain in Key West in the next week.

Thanks, you all have put my mind at ease. I am sure we will have a great time no matter what.

We just returned from there. There's a chance of thunderstorms everyday(late afternoon around 3-4 pm It rains ans then it clears up real fast. It also happened last year when we visited. Enjoy and have fun.

We spent several days there last June and it idn't rain at all with hardly a cloud in the sky. We thought june would be the rainy season!

It poured all of Saturday night and most of Sunday. It is now cloudy with still more chances of rain.

I guess Donna got rained on.
