What to do this time of year in sanibel area if it rains?

Know about the Edison house in Ft. Myers. anything else?

will be there in a few days.

Any good restaurants in Sanibel? something better than the bubble room, etc.

This is not our wet season, but we could always get, and need rain.

We've eaten at the Sanibel Steak House and it was very nice.

Go shopping at Tanger outlet Mall on the mainland, just before you go onto Sanibel. Go to the "Ding" Darling bird sanctuary on Sanibel for some great bird watching. Ride a bike or go for a hike around the island. And, possibly, where you are staying might have some other options.

Be sure to visit Captiva. There are many restaurants there. Unfortunately, the reviews are mixed. They all seem expensive and only marginally good.

It usually doesn't rain in Florida for long this time of year but if you wanted to go for a short ride to Sarasota, you could visit the John Ringling House and Museum. There is also an antique Car Museum next door to it.

If it's a light rain, and there's no lightning, go for a walk with your shoes off.

Bring a good book. If you have kids, get some puzzles or gameboards.

FYI, the forecast is fine until Tuesday, at which time there is a 20% chance of rain. In the winter, it will typically be cooler the day after it rains. You might need a jacket or sweater.

I second the birding. They're out whether it's raining or not. Keep your eyes on the sky!!

We went into Ft Meyers to see a movie.
