Raid of Canal Street Stores

Always a lot of discussion about buying fake goods on Canal Street in NYC. This morning, one of the largest sweeps in history shuttered 32 stores selling fake goods.

Oh well, there goes my shopping trip for Prada!

...just kidding. Been there once and how can they not tell it's not the read deal? The stuff looked so cheap!

Well - a lot of it looks awful. But they keep better fakes in the back and only show them if you say you want better quality. In either case, it's trademark infringement - and illegal.

And, as has been pointed out many times, linked to both gang activities and terrorists.

I don't believe they are selling fakes. The other day, I bought a ROLLEKS watch, and it works perfectly.

Such raids happen frequently, but tomorrow the fake goods will be back, along with the pirate DVDs.

And thousands of tourists and New Yorkers alike will be buying.

Finally, the cheap stuff is never "the real deal."
