Hotel location looks interesting and convenient, good rates, any opinions out there?
Also "Fall River, Area a good place to stay, three adults, just a couple of days of our trip. Also anyone know of the Inn at Newport Beach, Newport??

Just came back from there!
Hotel itself is nice typical Radisson (like Hilton) location is good IF you have a car (free parking, not available elsewhere in Providence) because it is literally between a highway on and off ramp at the edge of town. You're on a river, but the very edge of the river that goes through town, near a riverfront park but nothing else. The couple of blocks around the hotel (remember it's right off a highway) are not very inviting looking, but not 'scary'. You can't walk to restaurants or anything in town, but if you plan to drive out of town or even in town (which takes all of about 5minutes) then you'll find this hotel to be a good value.

I stayed there years ago when it was a Days Inn. It was a nice hotel. Very close to downtown Providence and the East Side (Brown Univ). Both have a variety of places to eat. As for Fall River, I've only been through there. The only thing I know that might be worth going to is a battleship.

The area around the Radisson is not exactly a safe location. While it is true that it's close to Brown, there are generally lots of problems at nite in this area. You are really removed from downtown as well. How about the Courtyard Marriott downtown. That's new - maybe you could get a better rate there??
Now for the Fall River area....first, if you're staying in the downtown Providence area, it will be a 20 minute drive to Fall River. There really aren't a lot of well known hotel properties there. If you were staying in Newport or Middletown it would be a 20 minute drive to Fall River as well.I hope this helps - I'm not familiar with the Inn at Newport Beach. Since I live in RI, I don't use the hotels.Good luck!!
