Race car driving experiences

Is there another option other than Richard Petty? Anybody been to the RPetty Experience in LV? Thanks.

Are we to assume you only want a NASCAR experience? Try contacting the race tracks themselves to see what they have to offer.
If you want open an open wheel experience Darek Daly has a school in LV. Skip Barber has an excellent traveling school that visits serveral road racing circuits. Road Atl has a porsche driving school.

Meg,

I my wife gave me the Richard Petty Driving Experience as a birthday present. I did 8 laps at Charlotte (Lowes Motor Speedway), and it was a great experience. There is a straightforward training session, and then you follow a lead car around for your laps.

I gradually built up to an average lap speed of just over the 145 MPH limit. It really was a constant 145 MPH rather than an average, because you don't let up going through the turns. I think that point is what made the experience so unique.

It was scary, amazing, and unbelievable to take the car through a sharp, banked curve at 145 MPH. All of your senses and previous driving experiences tell you that you'll never make the turn, but you do.

I would love to try other types of classes, such as a road racing course, as leanne suggested.

My Dad is a NASCAR fan, and we all gave him the Petty school as a Christmas gift. He had SO much fun! He did it at the Texas Motor Speedway, but since the school travels, I'm sure it would be just as good in Vegas.
