Quimby house inn in Bar Harbor question

Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids (11 year old) will be in Bar Harbor in the end of August. I narrowed down my search to Quimby House Inn and Bar Harbor Motel. My first choice is Quimby House Inn because I can get kitchennet unit cheaper than 2 bedroom family unit in the Bar Harbor Motel. My concern is that kitchennete unit is in different building (Annex building), I don't see picture of this building on their web site and didn't find any refference to this building on tripadviser. Is this building as good as the main bulding? Or I can get a suite in main building, but it doesn't have a door for the separate bedroom and doen't have a kitchen
Thanks a lot,

Mariya

Mariya: My husband and I have vacationed in Bar Harbor for six years now. We've never stayed at the Quimby House, but it appears quite nice. The annex is located directly behind the main building and looks just as nice. I hope you enjoy Bar Harbor as much as we do!

We stayed at the Quimby House a couple of years ago but didn't have a kitchenette unit. It was a very nice place and the manager gave us some good tips on restaurants. The location is excellent--walking distance to everything.

Mariya,

my husband and I are staying at the Annex Building right now. The unit is on the second floor, it is very clean but basic. The rooms in the main building may be more elegant. Location is excellent. Staff is friendly and cordial.

You may also consider renting a condo, I have noticed several for rent right in town. But 7 day rental min is required. Let me know if you need more info.

Hi Eva,
Just returned from 'the Rock' a week ago. My husband and I really enjoyed seeing Newfoundland in the springtime.... lots of spring bulbs and the trees leafed out during our time there. No icebergs this trip, but enough puffin pixs to last a lifetime. Enjoy your time in Atlantic Canada.
P.S. I was relieved to see that Fodor's pulled your Newfie post!
