Quiet place on Gulf coast (FL)??
Message: I am looking for a (or a few) place(s) on the Gulf coast in FL for November. Quiet, simple and nice and not to heavy for the credit card.
Charles (France)
PS Excuse my English
Maybe something in the middle to upper Keys?

St. George Island is quiet, simple and not too expensive - lots of beach houses (and condos) to rent. A nice bike path, a few restaurants and the east end of the island is an undeveloped area (National Seashore).

Charles: Can you give the specific date in November? And, do you have to stay on the gulf coast? The weather can be unpredictable toward the end of November in that area.
|
St George is a good recommendation-it is beautiful and during that time the rates are low. The only question I have is-do you want a lot of sun and hot weather? If so, November is unpredictable in a lot of Florida and you may want to go further south.

My sister went to Port St. Jo during spring break and had it practically to herself.

Bonjour Charles,
Ca va? I have to cast my vote for Sanibel. It is on the Gulf & the weather is usually good in Novembe. It definitely fits the quiet part. My favorite place to stay is Song of the Sea. It has rooms opening on to the beach & mine had a kitchen. It wasn't super expensive & was very comfortable.
