quiet inn to reward my parents

Hi- I wondered if anyone could help me with this idea. I'd like to thank my parents who watched our girls for a week while we went on a 20th anniversary trip to BVI. I'd like to send them to a small inn very near to Chapel Hill, NC as they hate to drive. If anyone knows of anything nice I'd appreciate the feedback. They are very low-key, simple people who never spend money on anything so I know this is something they would never do for themselves. They have been to a few B&Bs and they do like that sort thing. Thanks
terric

Check to see if the Inn at Bingham School has reopened.

And, of course, the Fearington House. 5*, 5 Diamond rating.

And if they live in town and really hate driving how about the Carolina Inn or the Siena. Both are on the bus line.

Hello terric, I know nothing about Chapel Hill, NC but I just wanted to say that your thread touched my heart. What a lovely idea you have for your parents. I am sure that your parents absolutely loved the week they had with their granddaughters however, again, your thoughts as to give your parents a "thank you" with so much thought behind your idea is beautiful.
I would imagine your parents feel quite special to have you for a daughter! Best wishes.

Thanks for such great suggestions- I'll start looking into them right now. LoveItaly- you should know my daughters are teenagers and one started out the week with a fender-bender my Dad had to deal with. I think I owe them!!!

terric, ooooh, shades of my teenage grandson! Well I hope it helps her to slow down or pay more attention to her driving. Aren't the teen years fun??
Anyway, you do have a beautiful thought for your parents. Imagine they will be thrilled. Take care!
