Saw the exhibit today. If you are in NYC, go online get tickets and go. Well worth it!! Yes, some of the conversation adds to the fun. Liz liked lots of stuff and had lots of the stuff she liked. How could anybody have so many charm bracelets? Plus so very many diamonds, and such big ones. But it was a necklace of very large Japanese pearls that got me! The clothes are interesting and you can bid online for them. Quite a few women were making notes for the auction. She had shoes in sizes 8,8.5, 9, and 10. Plus check out the luggage tags, done on a computer and put into plastic sleeves and attached with those plastic joiners police use for handcuffs. I can do that just like LT.

Thanks yk, glad you enjoyed it! It isn't as well written as yours but we had a fun weekend.
owlwoman, thanks for the tips.
Elaine, did you see any clothing/jewels (within reason) that you'd bid upon? I really would love a steamer trunk... those are spendy even without the Liz Taylor premium...

OMG, her collection of jewels/clothing/handbags/artwork/collectibles is amazing!!!! Loved the artwork, spent about 1 1/2 hours just admiring everything. I have to commend Christies for doing a nice job with the presentation, was not too crowded and the items were nicely displayed.

DD and I saw it a few days ago. I think if I had gone with a friend, instead of 16 yo dd, I would have enjoyed it more. It was so crowded, and DD just wasn't into it. Maybe if we'd had more time in general, but we were on such a time crunch, in the end, it wasn't as exciting as we'd hoped. I think in hindsight, she'll be glad she saw it, but right now, she just didn't get it. We zipped through it in about 30 minutes!
I did love seeing her luggage, and some of her clothes, and The Diamond. Some of the jewels were quite lovely, but more than a few were fairly gaudy. What I really loved were the Art Deco posters by Mucha, especially the Job rolling papers one. I would have bid on those if possible!
