Quickest drive time Topeka, KS to Eureka Springs, AR
 

Mapquest says it takes about 5 hours, Google maps says it takes about 7 hours. Is someone out there familiar enought with the route to know what the quickest way is, or what roads to avoid?

Distance is about 300 miles. The problem with time estimate is that the mapping sites don't know the condition on non-interstate highways.

Well, while US71 is not an interstate, it's a very fast route. 4 lane divided with high speed limits and no/few lights the whole way from KC to Joplin.

You can only slow for the last 70 miles from I-44 to Eureka Springs on MO37 and US62.

It'd be closer to 5 hours than 7.
