Quick TSA Question
I recall TSA saying they were going to lift the 3oz carry-on liquid restrictions, but has it been done? I know in the past year plus it has varied by airport and none of ours have been checked, with the exception of my losing suntan lotion in Puerto Rico's airport last summer. Anyone know for sure if it has been lifted yet? Trip time here, and a zillion things to think about. I'd like to eliminate one!

tsa.gov is still showing information on the "3-1-1" rule, so no, I don't think it's lifted. I hadn't heard anything about it going away.
The 3 airports I flew through last week were still enforcing it (HOU, DAL, LBB)
They seem to be more lenient, a bit more than 3 oz. in a container didn't get it confiscated (3.4 oz.). I had the quart bag in a jacket pocket and put it in the bin to be screened, without showing it, and had no problem. The rule is still in effect, though.

We flew out of IAD two weeks ago, and I had forgotten to put my travel size liquids in a ziploc--they were scattered in my tote, along with a half-full water bottle (over 3 oz.), and nothing was taken. It may still be the rule, but it doesn't seem to be consistently enforced.

OK...thanks. That means I can't risk it with the good stuff. I hate putting things like suntan lotion, shampoo etc in packed bags lest they leak. :( I thought I'd heard they were doing away with this...anyone else heard that or was it just wishful thinking?
I had heard it but it just hasn't been implemented yet.
Not wishful thinking, but the earliest this change will happen is NEXT year (i.e., 2010).
