Totally not travel related, but how do you pronounce the name Leif?

Underhill Jun 14th, 2004 01:01 PM

Depends somewhat on the country of origin; the two that we know pronounce is Lafe.

Today I'm just a big slump-shouldered ~:>.
I've been plucked 3-4 times today. And not in the good sense of the word. ;)

Diana Jun 14th, 2004 02:30 PM

Jibboo.

It's lafe.

It's also pronunciation as opposed to pronounciation.

(I always find such irony in people's saying that word incorrectly. I guess I need to worry about more important things...)

SaraLou Jun 14th, 2004 04:27 PM

It's a name. It's pronounce how the person with the name or perhaps their parents dediced to pronounce it. (Ex. Mueller - pronounced Mil-ler or Mue-ler)

jimshep Jun 14th, 2004 05:00 PM

Leif, as in Leif Eiriksson, is pronounced ?leaf.?
