I guess I might also mention to the OP if they are interested in a truly American souvenir, in the Seagrove area (Luck's is one good one) they could get a "face jug". it is Americana at its best.

I have a wonderful tiny face jug on a necklace. It has almost more detail than a large one. I was in a 7-11 and the young clerk behind the counter looked at it and said his grandfather did "those". It was Waylon Craig's grandson--he of Lincolton fame. Amazing.
