Quick! Need driving directions - Albany to Adirondacks!
 

My parents are driving Northeast on 88 towards Albandy. Their destination is Friends Lake, Adirondacks. They are going through Albany to catch 87 North. They need suggestions for driving route - do they have to go all around Albany (and through tolls). Please answer quickly, they are driving right now and are 90 minutes from Albany.

Probably too late now but if not tell them to pay the tolls. They need to connect to I-90 then stay to the left at the toll booth and follow signs to Montreal. This is I-87 Northway to Montreal. This is much faster and easier way than going on back roads in order to avoid paying tolls.
