I Cugini has a nice live jazz brunch on Sundays.

Le Merigot has settled into pretty good service now, better than it had the first few years after it was open when I stayed there. The spa is pretty nice, pool is small and secluded. I was at the hotel again in March for a business meeting, and my business colleagues who were staying there liked it. The restaurant is ok for lunch (and has outside courtyard seating) - I wouldn't eat dinner there though. Although there are problems w/ocean views in many rooms now because of the bldg in front of the hotel looking towards the ocean, you are close to the ocean (you can walk right onto the street that runs to the oceanwalk from the swimming pool area of the hotel) and close to the pier. And some rooms on the sides of the hotel still have views of the ocean. Plus you are right there next to Shutters, Casa Del mar, and Viceroy for great spots to have a drink.
