Questions about Sofitel NYC
Is it true that beds in Sofitel NYC are not all that comfortable? Also that the hotel is a bit shabby? I read these things on Tripadvisor.com. I do know to take that website with a grain of salt, but I would like other opinions before our Memorial weekend trip to NYC. We plan to see a few shows, so would like to be in or near near the theatre district in a really nice hotel. $450 is our max. Any help would be appreciated.

Stayed there about a year ago. Did not think it was shabby, actually we thought it was pretty nice. We had a junior suite, about 350 per night. It is not like the Four Seasons or Michelangelo, but it is pretty nice. We would stay there again. Bed was comfy. I would remember if it was not.

Hello,
Last dec stayed there with mom and daughter. First room was a queen that looked like a full, we changed rooms to two doubles that looked the size of two twins. Other than that we loved the hotel, beautiful lobby, workout area, central location was great. Susan |
Not shabby at all; we loved the beds, not heavenly but very good.... I like that location.

We stayed in an executive suite in Feb 04 for four nights and the hotel is definitely not shabby. The bed was extremely comfortable and the rooms are nicely done. I have now stayed twice in the Sofitel London and loved it. I am strongly considering the Sofitel in Lisbon over the Ritz we are already booked at.
