Gracie,

For 6 people, it may be cheaper to book a minivan (at Tel Aviv or Carmel) than to take 2 cabs.

La Guardia is more convenient than JFK or Newark. The difference is 25 minutes driving and $20 per cab. All things being equal, fly to La Guardia.

Hotels for those dates are getting both scarce and expensive. You need to act fast, or you may end up paying WAY more than $300 per room.

Gracie, I'm in South Carolina and I don't live in NYC.

I spend a lot of time there working and playing.

Sounds like a wonderful life -- to live in South Carolina and get to work and play in New York. I am envious.

Gracie, if you come closer to Xmas (after Dec. 18th) there are much better hotel rates. Just after Xmas (26-30) (sales!) but before New Year's Eve is also good. The first week in January is ideal. Xmas decorations still up, sales on, city quiet, hotel prices great.

If you want to come in Feb., just avoid Valentine's Day and President's weekend.
