Ok, maybe this isn't 100% travel related.

I came in late to the PBS program 7/4 and I need help with the name of one of the performers. She was singing gospel music and was on before Vince Gill. Later she sang "Georgia on my mind" in the tribute to Ray Charles. She wasn't listed in the TV Guide and would love to learn her name.

I knew Vince Gill and Amy Grant were married and I think there was a scandal about their relationship at first. Of course, most celebrities have a scandalous relationship or two.

True :) It is almost scandalous that they sometimes stay married LOL

I had not heard of Yolanda Adams before, and also missed the introduction, but her name WAS listed in our TV guide. (I live in DC) Her performance was a lot better than Vince Gill's, which was a little lame to me. Did you see Clay Aiken? Hee, hee - our TV guide said he didn't realize he'd be performing in front of 500,00 people on the Mall. I used to make fun of him, but I have to admit, he did a pretty good job of "I'm Proud to be An American." I missed the other song he did - National Anthem, I think?

I adore Vince Gill, thought he was wonderful! Cried all the way through "I Still Believe In You" 'cause it was my anniversary! And I loved his rendition of Ray's song! GO CLAY! I think he is terrific, and gives all the "grinds" in school such hope!:-) (He graduated high school across the road from my house!)
