Geez. No wonder this thread got "testy". Insulting those with differing opinions. Great forum communication skills.
|
You misread me sir. Just a joke, like yours. No offense. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Cheers :-) Now time to anjourn and watch Fla. beat UCLA (I hope) for the national championship.

No, indeed I did not.
I used an adjective to describe salmon "marinated" in citric acid for 2 days. You, in turn, used same adjective to describe another poster. Personal attack = insult. Simple. |
I've explained my comment once. If you refute that then so be it. You can belive what you choose. In another comment on this thread which has lived too long really I thanked you. If you refuse to believe my other comment wasn't in the same tone as yours which preceeded it even after my explanation then thats unfortunate. Have a good day. Go Gators. :-)

I can NOT believe my thread recuperated itself and re-born! Thanks to all who contributes and listen to me...
Salmon is too delicate to stay raw in acid brine when Code or Whiting is doing well in it and stays fresh. You are debating apples vs oranges. I just coocked salmon with baby spinach and capers...no butter, steamed in lemon juice with herbs and spinach trown on top with capers at the end. Delicious! I stole it from Bertucchi's. So sue me! But after you try my salmon... |
Another thing I remember to share with you...
I had made chicked shish-kebob. I've marinated my chicken breast pieces in Italian dressing and grilled chicken and it wasn't good at all. But I had left-overs and grilled it next day and it turned out to be de-li-ciousssssss...I did sprinkle oilve on it and poured little vinegar while it was grilling - that was it. So marinating for 2 days was IT, 1 day didn't do it. Go figure but season is starting - try it, it is easy, healthy and YAMMY! |
"Now that there are some facts out to assert fish can be safely stored in the frig for up to 2 days"
To Jacket: Saying that one can store fish in the refrigerator for two days is not the same as saying that one can store fish in a citrusy marinade in the refrigerator for two days. Please reread the posts. |
I was just about to marinate my Cod fish before going to work but I remembered all your posts and I did not.
But now I forgot WHY couldn't I marinate it for a day and grill it tonight? Cod is pretty firm fish, what would happen to it if I left it in marinade? I really don't feel like reading whole thread to find out. I am pretty sure nothing would happened. Salmon would go tough but not Cod... Oy, vey...you guys screwed my dinner! |
It's your thread and you haven't read it? I can believe that.
|
I did but then it got lost and then I didn't have time and now I did and it is hillariously fishy!
