Question for UK residents re: US travel
 

Do you know of any websites especially aimed at people planning to travel from the UK to the US?

Thanks for any info you might have!

Other than transportation possibilities, I am curious what would be different for people traveling to the US from the UK as opposed to those traveling from Germany, Argentina, Australia, Japan, etc.

Well, Trails..the possible language barrier for one thing.

HappyTrails - Dukey's right - the language issue is one reason I specified UK visitors. It wouldn't do me much good to find a website in Germany, Japan, etc. that I can't understand (since I am from the US and English and some French are it for me in the language dept.)

Thanks Orlando Vic - it's interesting that there's a blog for British visitors associated with the Orlando paper. (I went to high school in Winter Park - so I'm an ex-neighbor of yours!)

Sometimes when I've traveled I've noticed that certain places seem to be more popular with certain nationalities. For example, many years ago when I was in Switzerland as a college student, most of the tourists in Grindelwald seemed to be British, while most of the tourists in another Swiss town not too far away (the name of which I've forgotten) were American.

It got me thinking about what areas of my country people of different nationalities are most interested in seeing. And so I just sort of picked the UK to ask about -I could have also picked Australia, NZ, or any other English-speaking country.

When I have visited the UK I've never noticed a language barrier, but perhaps I unwittingly traveled only in English speaking regions.
