question for kayakers
I've managed to raise a few nasty blisters between thumb and forefinger while kayaking on the Cape this summer.
Can anyone recommend a brand of gloves that worked for them? (I don't need anything for warmth, just for blisters.) Thanks. |
I use an old pair of fingerless gym gloves made of neoprene and nylon, no leather or fake leather palms They look something like this but they do have a covering on the thumb and between the thumb and forefinger http://tinyurl.com/bpfgbte
Sorry, there's no label left on my gloves to see the name, but there must be something like them still out there |
Bike gloves should work. I'm going to try them next time I go kayaking.

My gloves are Kokatat - bought them at a water sports store- they don't have much padding but there is a leather insert between thumb and forefinger - I think bike gloves would work too- maybe with a little more padding than these have- but I have never had a blister.

Thanks for your suggestions.
One person on my thread on the Lounge suggested zinc tape as another option. Of course, I now realize that whatever I decide to use should go on BEFORE going out on the water! |
I think you need a pair of cute ( and functional) gloves- not zinc tape- what kind of a look is that- even if if did work.
