Question for Hikers with Kids
 

Any hikers out there that can give comments/recommendations of backpack carriers?<BR><BR>Will be travelling/hiking with our 15 month old now 24 lbs. and would like some comments from hikers that have used backpack carriers. Both my husband and I would take turns so would need a carrier that would convert from 5.4 and 5.11 heights. <BR><BR>I have researched the Kelty, REI Piggyback, Madden & Tough Traveller. We have tried on a few in the stores, but would like opinions from those of you that have actually been out on the trails with your kids.<BR><BR>Also, any experience with the rain hoods? Have heard a lot of them are designed poorly and rain runs down the back of a person's neck.<BR><BR>Thanks!

Does your 15 month old really want to be out in weather that cuases rain to run down your back? Things can not be exactly the same once you have a kid.
