Question about theater discount codes
I just tried to purchase tickets to Hairspray at ticketmaster using the discount code offered at Broadwaybox. This discount is listed to expire on June 4th, so it's current, as listed. Ticketmaster told me, after a long hold on the phone, that this is no longer offered. Why would this happen, an is this type of thing usual?
Is there any other method of getting discounts for tickets. I have seen this Broadwaybox recommended here many times for those who are purchasing in advance. Is it for real? I also found another discount code via Playbill, differnet code, same discount price. Is there some trick to purchasing tickets this way? New at this and could use some help. Thanks, in advance |
I can't shed much light on this situation other than to say that I have ordered tickets using broadwaybox and the codes have worked. Maybe you got an agent who made a mistake. I booked mine online. Why don't you try that?

It could be that the number of discount tickets available is small.

BTW, I've also always done it online.

If you used the code below, it works just fine on the internet through the Ticketmaster site. It's not valid for Saturday nights.
Hairspray Tickets just $60-$65, Reg. $110 ! Code: BOXWEB2 Expires: June 4, 2006 |
We did it online for 26-29 April performances and got great discounted seats.
