question about Broadway discount sites

Does anyone know how often the sites update the discounts? I am looking for "In the Heights" tickets for the end of March, but right now the offers are only through March 15th.

They generally only go for about 2 months in the future, and they often wait until just before one discount expires before they issue a new one or continue that one. The discount you're looking at may be extended about the middle of February or again it may not be extended until just before the March 15 expiration. Sorry, I can't be more specific.

Have you looked at more than one site -- theatremania, broadway box, and playbill in particular?

Thanks Patrick. I didn't know about theatremania, but all three have the discount only until the 15th.

I am getting tickets for out of town visitors, and think they should wait to buy.

I agree. They should wait before buying tickets. Chances are very good that the discount offer will be extended.

That said, the discounted seats are never the best. If budget is not so much of an issue and they want good seats, you could just buy now.
