question?
Can anyone tell me what time the sun goes down and how much for cigarettes in hawaii?
thanks
|
5pm. $5
|
the sun doesn't go down. the earth's orbital path around the sun essentially delineates its "seasons", and its daily rotation around its axis delineates daylight hours. the number of daylight hours vary from point to point on the planet depending on its orbital position.

what that all has to do with the cost of cigarettes in hawaii is beyond me! but the last i heard, the mormon influence in hawaii has resulted in a smoking ban.

Proof positive that if you post a vague/crazy header or question then you'll get crazy answers!
|
Actually the sun revolves on the great spheres which circle the earth. The rotation of these spheres results in the movement of the Sun across the sky.

What is Hawaii and what are cigarettes?

Ptolemy
|
The Earth moves in an orbit which is elliptical, with the sun a one foci.

The movement of the Earth around the sun covers equal areas in equal time.

The square of the time it takes a planet to orbit the Earth is equal to the cube of it's distance from the sun.

The sun doesn't go down in Hawaii and you shouldn't smoke.

It's bad for you.

Johannes

Try www.weather.com and type in a zip code for where you are staying in Hawaii and it will give the time for sunrise and sunset.
|
Sorry about the vague question.I suffer from severe night blindness and I am trying to ascertain what time I can make reservations on the north shore for dinner and
not have to drive back in the dark

Thanks
John
|
john

Just a suggestion. If you suffer from severe night time blindness DON'T go out for dinner.

Eat a nice lunch in a lovely restaurant and stay at a hotel that has nice restaurants and eat your dinner there, safely.

Kepler: Pls. see Copernicus for the correct use of "its" ("it's" is a contraction for "it is". Don't confuse it w/ the possessive which is "its". I know this is a contant source of confusion b/c in the English language the apostrophe is used to denote possessive. But when it come to "its" there is no apostrophe! (Should I start a grammar site? Sorry but I just can't help it!) ( Copernicus: Why do you not use caps?)

john - your questions weren't vague. But your title was terrible. That is why you are getting all the "HELPFUL" answers.

Sorry, but "question" is about the dumbest title possible. You could be asking ANYTHING about ANYWHERE.

You should have included Hawaii, sunset and cost of cigarettes in your title, or at least "A couple of simple questions about Hawaii"

Susan

Thank you.

English is not my strong point and I appreciate your kind and instructive note.

You must be a teacher, a profession I admire greatly.
I believe the sun doesn't set until after 8pm. As for cigarettes, my wife shops at Costco. Not sure of the price per carton but she claims their cheaper than elsewhere. I hope you enjoy my state. Tim
|
The sun NEVER sets as late as 8 pm in Hawaii. Sunset is between 6 pm and 7 pm depending on the time of year.
|
If you ever come to NYC, cigaretttes now cost over $7 a pack.
|
The sun does not go down this time of year. That is why the mole people hibernate here in the summer. "Cigarettes in Hawaii" is my favorite ska band. $40.
